The desk-day movement game

Level up IRL.

A game for people who sit for a living. Lose weight, get stronger or just feel better. No gym needed.

Short sets your phone's camera counts, small wins between meetings, and a streak that forgives a busy week.

Free, with no ads. In beta now on iPhone (TestFlight) and Android (open testing).

The Today screen: sitting for 4 minutes with a stand-up in 41, the next set of 5 wall push-ups, today's moves, 1 of 2 strength days this week and 3,240 steps.

A desk day, with Sitbuster

You'll recognise these moments.

Six everyday moments from a desk day, and what Sitbuster does about each one. Take them one at a time.

After back-to-back meetings

A minute to loosen up

Three meetings in a row. When the last one ends, your neck and shoulders feel every minute of them.

Sitbuster taps your shoulder when you've sat a while, at the timing you chose, and with Skip my meetings on, it waits until the meeting ends. Then a move break: one minute, four gentle moves, standing or seated, each with its own clip beside the timer. It counts toward today.

Breaks where you change position and move ease desk discomfort.

Move breaks

A seated move break, step 2 of 4: open your chest, with the move's looping clip beside a timer at 38 seconds.
A clip for every step. Follow along, without reading.
Move break counted: all four moves done in 1:00, and today's streak card at 3 of 3 wins: Today counts.
One minute, counted. A move toward today's streak.

Ten minutes before a call

A set your camera counts

You've got ten minutes and a bit of floor beside your desk. You'd do a few squats, if something counted them and told you when to stop.

Lean your phone against a mug, step back, and go. The camera reads your pose on the phone and counts each rep, then tells you when you're done: "Stop here. That's today's win." Nothing is recorded, saved or sent.

Camera-counted sets

Counting chair squats: the figure lowers to the chair, and the count card shows 3 of 5 with a +1.
Every rep, counted. A count you can read from across the room.
Target done: 5 of 5 chair squats. Stop here. That's today's win. That's your target for today.
And a clear finish. "Stop here. That's today's win."

Lunch at your desk

A short walk after you eat

Lunch at your desk again, then straight back to the screen. You keep meaning to take a short walk afterwards.

Tell Sitbuster when you usually eat, and after lunch and dinner it suggests a short walk. Your phone's steps count it, or a timer marked "Walk or wheel" does.

10 minutes soon after eating may help blunt sugar spikes. The sooner, the better.

On insulin or sulfonylureas? Carry fast-acting carbs.

Walk after a meal

Counting a walk after lunch: 640 of about 1,000 steps, with the meal-time sources and a caution for people on insulin.
Your steps count it. The walk fills up as you go.
Walk counted: 1,140 steps by 1:42 pm, checked by Apple Health, and today's streak card at 2 of 3 wins.
A walk, counted. And a small win toward today.

A busy week

A streak that forgives

A cold, a trip to see family, a week of late nights. That's usually where a streak ends, and the habit with it.

Not here. Pick your rest days, and they count. Freezes, earned as you level up, cover a day you miss, and they're never sold. Away pauses your streak when life gets in the way, with no reason asked. The app says what you've kept, never what you'd lose.

Streaks, rest days and Away

Pick your rest days: Saturday and Sunday marked REST, 5 move days and 2 rest days, and Use my days off.
Rest days count. Pick your days off.
Take a break: for illness, travel, family or anything else, no reason needed. Choose 1 day, 3 days, 7 days or pick a date.
Away, no reason needed. Your streak waits for you.

With your team

Better together

Your team keeps saying everyone should move more. Nobody wants to be the one doing squats alone by the printer.

Start a crew, and every week your crew fights a boss against one other crew, with your sets and steps. Or join a league of people who move about as much as you. It's all free, for adults, and you choose what anyone sees. Or play solo: you choose on day 3.

Crews and raids

A crew raid on the Sofa Squid: Desk Rebels with 458 HP left against Night Shift's 1,210, and a button to hit it with 7 chair squats.
A boss every week. Your crew's sets and steps hit it.
The League tab: 4th of 30 in the Bronze league with 5 active days, the players just ahead and behind, and boards for fun.
A league at your pace. Active days decide places.

Sunday evening Plus

Never miss a call

You meant to call Mom on Sunday. Then it was Wednesday, and another week had gone by.

With Plus, you can write your own nudges, in your words, at your time, on your days. "Call Mom", Sunday at 18:30, every week. A small cue at the same time helps it become a habit.

Not on Plus? The app's own nudges are free: they fit around your meals and your work hours.

Tying a new habit to a set time, or to a daily routine, helped it form equally well. Repeating it was what mattered most.

Your own nudges

Add a nudge: your words, Call Mom, at 18:30 on Sunday, with Save, over the Your own nudges page.
Your words, your time. Sunday, 18:30.
Your own nudges, a Plus setting: your words, at your time, on your days, every week. Refill the bottle at 11:00 Sunday to Thursday, Shoulders down at 15:30 every day, and Call Mom at 18:30 on Sunday.
Every week. Until you remove it.

Every feature, one moment at a time

How it builds the habit

Small, often, and kind when life gets busy.

You've started fitness plans before. Then a busy week came along, and that was that.

Sitbuster is built on what research says helps a habit stick: keep the daily step small, tie it to moments that already happen, forgive the bad weeks, and grow gently. And it shows you the sources.

How it builds the habit

Today after the day has counted: a black card reading 2 sets today, day 13 of the streak.
A day that counts. One set, or a few small wins with a move.
A quiet week: A busy week. You still moved. One day moved, what you did, and an easier week offered for next week.
A quiet week, said kindly. "A busy week. You still moved."

Private by design

Video never leaves your phone.

A camera app at work? You'd want to know where the video goes before anything else. So here it is.

  • The camera reads your pose on your phone. Nothing is recorded, saved or sent.
  • Health answers and steps stay on your phone unless you say yes to syncing them.
  • Ramadan settings stay on your phone unless you keep a copy in your account.
  • You can play without an account. No ads, no analytics, no tracking. Nothing is sold.
